Apple to stop production of iPhone X and iPhone SE this year, 2018

Apple May end the production of iPhone X and the outdated iPhone SE in the third quarter of this year, 2018.

Because It has been reported that the iPhone X and iPhone SE unit has reduced from 20 million units to 8 million units as Apple has decided to focus on the new trio of iPhones coming later this year.

According to the report, Apple is planning to make 28 million units of iPhone 9, iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Plus in third quarter of 2018. 46 million units in first and second quarter, and 64 million units in fourth quarter.

In Addition, Apple’s main purpose of doing this, is to be able to fulfill its target of 91 million units order until the end of 2018. And in 2019, Apple’s plan is to go for another 92 million units of its three iPhones. They expect higher sales because current iPhone users are being reluctant to upgrade over the years.

Apple will still continue to sell the iPhone 8 for users who prefer low-end phones. But the Analyst behind this report believed that the iPhone 11 Plus will appeal to those users who found the iPhone X too small. While the iPhone 9 will favour those who are price conscious.
